St John's School Wildlife Garden
St John's Primary School in Blackwood, Lanarkshire recently completed an environmental project centering around their school wildlife garden. The project was developed and delivered by Praxis (www.praxisarts.co.uk - see 'Links') and involved the children taking part in a range of creative activities which enabled them to develop their garden and thereafter use it for learning and play.
Part of the project involved Scott assisting four groups of children to explore the various areas of the wildlife garden and aiding them to identify the various insects and plant species found. During those sessions, Scott provided the children with access to professional macro-photography equipment and the necessary support to enable them to use it correctly.
The following selection of twenty images were taken by the children.
